Continuity Guide
Source is Light Novel.
Context: Akihito Kanbara is an immortal half-youmu high school student who saves a girl named Mirai Kuriyama as she is about to jump off the school roof. Mirai is the sole survivor of a clan of Spirit World Warriors with the cursed ability to manipulate their own blood. The two become intertwined as they face supernatural threats and uncover dark secrets surrounding the Spirit World.
Continuation: Watch Beyond the Boundary -I'LL BE HERE-: Future. (You can also watch the Beyond the Boundary: Daybreak OVA for prequel context).
Critical Note: While originally based on a light novel, the animation studio heavily altered the overarching story, character fates, and lore, making the anime its own distinct canon. Because of these massive divergences, you cannot seamlessly transition from the anime to the light novel. Instead, the story continues and concludes in the theatrical sequel movie, "Future".
Status: Finished.
