Anime Original Story
Source is Anime-Original.
Context: A two-part theatrical release. "Death" is a heavily edited recap of the first 24 episodes of the TV series, focusing on character psychology and featuring some updated animation. "Rebirth" is an early, 27-minute preview of the first act of the movie The End of Evangelion.
Continuation: Watch the movie Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion.
Critical Note: This film is largely optional. The recap is useful for a quick refresher, but the "Rebirth" segment is entirely obsolete since the exact same footage is used for the beginning of The End of Evangelion. You can safely skip this entry and go straight to The End of Evangelion.
Status: Finished.
