Context: Tsukasa Mizugaki joins the Terminal Service department of SAI Corp, a company that manufactures highly advanced androids with human emotions known as Giftias. His team is responsible for retrieving these Giftias right before their fixed lifespan expires to prevent them from malfunctioning. He is partnered with a quiet, veteran Giftia named Isla to carry out these emotionally taxing duties.
Continuation: None (Complete Story).
Critical Note: This is a standalone, original anime series with a definitive and closed ending, meaning there is no manga or light novel to continue the story. There is a spin-off manga titled "Plastic Memories: Say to Good-bye" focusing on the character Michiru, but it serves as a prequel rather than a continuation.
Status: Finished.
