Continuity Guide
Source is Visual Novel.
Context: Set in the "Beta Attractor Field" where Okabe failed to save Kurisu and gave up on time travel. He meets Maho Hiyajo and "Amadeus," an AI built from Kurisu’s memories. The story details the dark future of World War III and the long path to creating the video message sent to the past in the original series.
Continuation: This series concludes by setting up the ending of the original Steins;Gate. It is not a direct sequel chronologically, but a "midquel" explaining the events that made the happy ending possible.
Critical Note: The anime combines multiple routes from the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel into a single linear story, sometimes resulting in pacing issues or disjointed transitions compared to the original series.
Status: Finished.
